Ok folks!
I will show you 4 blog-posts and they are written in two ways:
- I wrote the story in Swedish. After that I had it translated in Google Translate. Finally I “repaired” what I thought was wrong. I tried to change as little as possible. Minimum of rephrasing. In some cases I reformulated the Swedish sentence in order to get a better translation.
- I wrote the story directly in English. In a few cases I had to look up some words that I didn’t know. This is my normal way of writing English.
The 4 blog posts:
- singularity – are we doomed?
- nanotechnology
- humanoids – the next generation
- monitoring, legislative changes and control
One more thing: Skip the introduction in all posts.

I will later comment on the result and tell you the right answers.
I also had a really good laugh at one of the translations. You will see next time…
The dilemma for us who not have English as mother tongue is to write with linguistic errors and missing nuances but reach a much larger group of readers or write in Swedish with excellent language (well perhaps not entirely
) but with fewer readers.
